Dr. Ted Mann
Biographical Information:
I was raised in California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains,
about one-and-a-half hours from Lake Tahoe. After high school, I attended the
Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and received a Bachelor of Music
degree in 1958. After two years in the army, I pursued a Master of Arts degree
in music history at San Francisco State College, and subsequent to that I earned
a doctorate in education from Wayne State University in Detroit. After teaching
music at a maximum security prison in California for two years, I spent the next
30 years in the Humanities department at Oakland Community College in Farmington
Hills, Michigan. I am married (37 years), have two great sons and a beautiful
daughter-in-law. I am self-taught in biblical Greek, and have a passion for
translation and biblical studies.
